How it began
Zanele and Ruben met on a wet Tuesday in a Woodstock bookshop, both reaching for the last copy of the same cookbook. Ruben let her have it, on the condition that she cook him something from it. She did, badly, and he asked to come back the next week anyway.
Seven years on, they have cooked their way through that book twice, moved into a flat with a crooked balcony, and spent every long weekend they could find on the West Coast, walking the beach at Paternoster until the light went.
So that is where they will marry: with salt in the air, their favourite people around them, and a very long table on the sand.
