We’d love you to celebrate the day with us

Saturday27 November 2027

Nottingham Road, KZN Midlands

Our story

First impressions

We met at a friend's dinner party in Pietermaritzburg, where Musa announced to the table that he did not dance and Eliza decided, there and then, that he was the proudest man she had ever met. He spent the rest of the evening proving her wrong about everything except the dancing.

Four years, two dogs and a great many long walks in the Midlands mist later, he asked her under the oaks at the farm where her grandparents were married. He has since taken dancing lessons.

Fireplaces and a good pub downstairs

A farm cottage

Rosetta · 15 min drive

Self-catering, sleeps four

The lakeside lodge

Driving up

The farm is an hour from Durban and twenty minutes off the N3. The last stretch is gravel, so take it slowly.

Getting home

A shuttle runs from the farm to Nottingham Road at midnight, so nobody has to drive.

We would be honoured to have you with us. Let us know if you can come, and tell us about any dietary needs.

What to wear

Formal, for a garden in early summer. Think long dresses and suits in sage, blush, plum and deep green. The lawn is soft, so leave the stilettos at home.

Children

We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

The weather

Midlands evenings turn cool after a warm afternoon. Bring a wrap or a jacket for after dinner.
